Christmas Decorations

I have given in to the pressure and decided to put up some decs and the tree afterall. I really was not going to bother this year but then felt bad for the kids.

Anyway went into the garage and pulled out boxes marked christmas decorations etc. I found some stuff that had not seen light of day since we lived in the UK, and got a few nice surprises seeing stuff I had forgotten I had. I now have a nice gold reindeer and a santa ornament outside the front door, and a battered old christmas wreath attached to the front door. I have not used them here before as Jason thinks they are horrible, but he is out now so can put them out in peace

Anyway got the tree but cannot find the base, so for now the poor old tree is laying across the sofa in the family room

I have been to Bunnings to buy another base but they are out of stock  The woman there suggested a bucket filled with sand, but I dont fancy that and dont want to have to buy a bag of sand just for that

Any suggestions on where or what I can use that is cheap ??? The tree is quite big and heavy, about 6ft high, so need something strong and sturdy (had thought of just getting Jason to stand there holding it)

I have not tried the lights yet, whats the betting none of them will work

Your wall colour looks the same as ours

Looks good Mel. Need to get Kevan to get our stuff out of the shed. The boxes have to sit open for a day or two outside to make sure nothing is living in there. Open the boxes, spray lots and leave for a day :blushing:

Lol, I had quite a few spiders crawl out from the boxes as I was emptying them, nothing nasty though, just a few Daddy Long Legs
