She seems to be settling in, learnt to sit and stay (sometimes) make no real noise at night. Lets me go out and leave her without complaining, and the neighbours haven't really heard her yet. One of them didn't even know we had a dog  Toilet training isn't complete yet, but she did wait till she got outside before doing one today. Daughter took her for a walk today, and everyone stopped them and said "oh how cute" |

Erick, be careful about taking her outside for walks until she has had all her vaccinations, as they can pick up all sorts of nasty viruses, especially if she is in an area where other dogs may have been, and definitely keep her away for all unknown dogs until she has all her jabs too  She sounds heaps better behaved than Mabel, who still wakes about 4am every morning and howls to be fed, let out etc. Also Mabel's toilet training is really hit and miss (mostly miss), she will go outside but also goes inside without warning  Edited by Melibeam, Oct 30 2009, 08:40:21 PM.

It went swimming today, in the pool :D Toilet training is not 100%. It knows not to do it on the tiles, so tries to find some carpet ! Not totally realised that outside is the correct place yet. Sleeps well at night though, and doesn't mind too much being left alone, and ignored, during the day either. |

Heather's best friend in the UK is an Ellie. Doesn't sound right on a dog  You don't know the friend so it hardly matters  |

I get confused with the name, variations discussed were Ella and Ellie, but sometimes I used Eli (ely or e-lie), so for safety I prefer Dog :) I do try to avoid spoiling this pet, as I would prefer her to interact with the wife and daughter. I have enough trouble with the budgie ! That one follows me around everywhere, and even joins me for dinner, eating off my plate !! Have you ever seen a Budgie eating steak and chips ? |

I have to admit then when I'm calling both of my dogs together to come to heel, I do shout 'dogs'. They respond perfectly  |

Every morning when I come downstairs and see both my dogs standing together waiting for their breakfast, I say "good morning girls", my neighbours probably think I am mad  |
