Why, when you click on and type in quick reply, does it now take you through to the advanced reply option ?? It's not quick at all any more !

Replied via Fast Reply.

Edit, definitely quicker than Add Reply as none of the smilies come up. I think your computer is playing games with you.

It is a fault on the zeta board servers, and I think it depends on what browser you are using.

Chrome does not have the problem, nor does Internet Explorer, at least the version I am using don't.

Fast reply used to test again...

I use IE and it's been a pain in the butt for weeks, you type your fast reply click add reply and....... it slowly then displays your reply in the full reply screen. So no..... not all that fast.

Latest info from Zetaboards:

Quote:

Zetaboards are actively seeking a real solution to this problem, and if one doesn't crop up they may very well reverse the upgrade that led to this whole ordeal in the first place.

In the meantime they suggest using Firefox or Opera or Chrome if you have it.

For those who want to try something different, Chrome is a very lightweight internet browswer.

You can run it as well as IE, but do not set it as the default browser, unless you are happy to use it all the time.

I would consider loading it, and maybe just using it for DAF, for a while ?

I like firefox but it doesn't give me the option to have multiple pages open like IE (I tend to have a fair few running at the same time !) Does Opera or Chrome ?

Chrome allows many tabs and or windows pages.
eg: at the moment I have 5 windows open, each with 4 or 5 tabs, ie: about 20 odd webpages open at once. Plus I have IE open with 1 page open.

Chrome does have a few drawbacks as it is a lightweight version, but I doubt that many users would be too worried by most of them.

The main one is that it doesn't seem to have a print preview option to select specified text for printing.

I tend to use both Chrome and IE at the same time, chrome for speed and then flick to IE for anything I may need that for. I also like to use both at the same time, so I can log into some sites in two different names at the same time. eg My Gmail accounts.

how do you have multiple windows with firefox ? Do they show as tabs or in your toolbar ? I really need tabs as opposed to windows as I always have loads of windows open in my toolbar as well as multiple tabs

tabs. Just go up to 'file' in the left hand corner and press new tab. Old fashioned way is CTRL T
