I had an appointment at 10:15 for a crown to be fitted. They did the main preparatory work 2 weeks ago, and today was the fitting of the crown. Just had a phone call, can they make it 11:15 now, as they have just had a call from the courier leaving the airport, with my crown. He is going to be late... talk about cutting it fine ! But then, better than me turning up and having to wait.... |

I've now got a nice smooth porcelain tooth, one of the molars I think, the ones you chew with at the back. I had 4 fillings the other week, plus the clean and checkup, and with this Crown, all up it cost me about $2,000. I must find the bill, for tax time... |

funny - I had a crown fitted yesterday. I had a cracked tooth - had all the prep work done a few weeks ago and had temp crown for a while. So I also have a brand new false tooth. Sad thing is I now need another one as after years of brutal treatment by some dentist who constantly took out a filling and refilled it, there is hardly any tooth left. |

How much was your crown ? I paid $1,286 for mine. Just the crown I had $700 worth of other work aswell ! If you had insurance I am very curious to know how much you get back on a crown. I don't have cover, I self insure :) |

never mind - I thought my dentist was expensive but looks like I paid less for the crown. I've had other treatment too - seem to spend most of my time there lately. |

I've been quoted $1220 each for my crowns. I'm having 4 done at once!!!! Got to have more root canal work done first at a cost of another $1k. Go for my first root canal round this Friday, having the second lot done in 3 weeks, then have the prep and temporary crowns done the following Monday. So by about the end of July I will finally be finishing all the dental work that started nearly 3 years ago :ecstatic: |
