I took Daisy for a long walk this morning and about half way home I fell over sideways on my ankle. I dont quite know how I managed it, but I sort of rolled sideways and my ankle gave way. It was really painful and I hobbled home.

As soon as I got home I put ice on it and sat with my feet up for an hour or so, to much moaning from Jason and the kids about me being overreacting etc. After this I took the ice off and got up to make dinner. I stood in the kitchen and my ankle got more and more painful to the point of not being able to put any weight on it. I got Jason to finish off dinner and I bandaged up my ankle and took some panadol and went to bed. I got up a couple of hours ago and its swollen, bruised and bloody painful.

Luckily I work from home as am working tonight, but at least I can sit with my foot elevated while I am working

I feel stupid and cant believe how easily my ankle gave way - must be getting old

Poor Daisy wont be having any walks for a while either :ooer:

Erm, what's wrong with Jason and the kids ankles? I assume Daisy is loved by everyone, not just you.

Hope it gets better quickly, that way you'll be able to kick them for their love and understanding and sympathy.;)

Fortunately, as you get older, you become more aware of this when it is about to happen, and you are able to avoid the more painful events such as the the first time it happens...

At least that is how it has worked with me.....

I remember the first time it happened, but I role with it these days, and it never seems to be too bad now.

Lol at Hevs, that would not work here, as Daisy is my dog and they know I would never get rid of her

Jason actually took her for a walk last night so hoping he will walk her again for the next few days
