It rained a bit last night...

It poured down...........

They are talking about 100mm of rain, per hour !

Which is pretty high when you consider that our average rainfall in the month of November is 104.2mm (for the whole month)

The swimming pool is full though. And it isn't that bad, the bricklayers have started putting the bricks on the house behind us this morning.

Some other areas did of course get it bad.

I'll have to dig out a photo from about 2005.

When our entire garden turned into a pool. I had to go out in the garden in the middle of the night, to rescue our caged guinea pigs, as they were in danger of drowning.

Finally got down our end this evening. Didn't last long but half an hour or so of torrential rain, very very loud thunder directly overhead and more lightning than I've seen in the last three years whilst 100 or so people are sitting in the school performing arts building was interesting to say the least! The hail started and so did the mutterings about all the cars out in the open. Didn't last long though. By the time we left the road were already drying though. However the school oval is a swimming pool now. Will check the car for dents in the morning!!

we had a downpour for about 6 hours last night. quite a big storm, but no damage. i moved here to get away from the rain lol :S
