Why is migrating just so bumpy. Having trouble getting a potential employer to sponser us. With out it our dreams of getting to oz could be over.
OH still has to get his skills assessment done with Engineers Australia. i think he is worried that he wont get the assessment result he wants.
Im trying to encourage him to speak with the company and see if a trip to oz would help secure sponsorship. But like most blokes in his family he hates being told what to do by a woman.
He talks about nothing else but when we are living in oz yet trying to get him to do things is like getting blood out of the stone. He is now officaially on his resettlement period with the army so has time now to read all the research ive collated together.
Sorry for the whinge but i just want to hear the words we have a visa.

download "Moment in the sun" by "The Living End" and everytime he is dragging his heels play it full blast, It's a fab tune for anyone stuck in the migration mire and guaranteed to give you the push you need, plus it's a great song that you'll be singing all the time.

Dolly, try sympathising with him then saying "...but I reckon you'd be wasting your time talking to the company and getting them to put a word in for you...you'd never be able to pull that one off"

Then sit back and wait

Thanks every one, was feeling really fed up yesterday. But today OH has had an interview with his engineering body which he passed so he can now join the Uk engineers council which in turns will make life easier when he applies for his skilled assessment. Which he has decided he best put together this week.
He has also emailed the company interested him to arrange a time to speak with them about a trip over to oz. So hopefully he will get a responce from them.
By the way thanks Nicky for the kick up the bum he needed lol. Your email made him spring into action.
