Just saw on the news the amount of damage caused in Brisbane last night due to a massive storm.
Loads of houses with there roof ripped off, fences blown down, heaps of water damage.

Hope everyone on ABC that comes from up there is ok.

Not too much damage around our area, well I dont think so anyway  Last night I was driving into the city to work and there was torrential heavy rain, thunder and lightning and it was pretty scary. I found it hard to see the road in front of me, but luckily got there safely. At work the Mater Mothers Hosp was on emergency power supply as there was a massive power cut in the city. It was sticky and stiffling hot as the air conditioners were not on, only essential equipment works on emergency power supply. It was still raining on way home this morning but much cooler and more comfortable now. At least the pool got a nice top up

I think others got it much worse, especially the north side and the Gold Coast, hope everyone is ok

It sort of bypassed us, although we went without power from about 5pm to 8pm last night.

But some areas got hit really hard. While my wife was driving home she noticed many drivers pulling over to one side of the road and stopping. I asked her why she didn't, "because I was driving your car" she said..

Hmmm.. I thought. But then she said mine handles the wet weather better.

Anyway... the rain, at home, wasn't even enough to top up our pool..
