National tree climbing championships

The National tree climbing championships were held in Wangaratta today (it was the first time that they have been held outside of Melbourne). Ian and Joseph were on duty on the BBQ for the sausage sizzle and there were various events going on in the park. One guy was dressed in a spiderman costume which the kids loved but generally it was very serious as there were world class competitors there.
Joseph had a go at the kid's event where they had to pile up milk crates while climbing up the tower (he managed 8 and loved it). Unfortunately Bethany has 'borrowed' the camera a few weeks ago and it appears to have disppeared  so no photos.
It was a great day out although it does mean that the jobs haven't been done for the party and chook preparation :( so it is busy time now.
I think that Joseph is very keen on a job as an arborist (sp?) as he would get to climb, throw things and chop things  what more can a 10 year old want out of a career lol.

Well he can come and get some practice at our place I have a gum tree bashing on my roof and threatening to send a branch through my window every storm and don't even ask about the camphor laurel dropping its poisonous crap on my balcony all the time.
