9:20 hospital appointment; and home by 10:20

I had a hospital appointment today at 9:20, left home at 9:00, arrived on time, and there was even ONE space left in the car park !!

I went in, had the blood pressure taken, then waited a short time in the waiting room.

The Doctor came and called my name, got it wrong as they all do, but I am used to that.
We discussed the problem, he examined me, then went next door to ask the consultants advice.

A few minutes later, and I was feeling perfectly OK until this moment..........
The Doctor returns, with the Consultant AND a Specialist Surgeon, who both introduce themselves ........... (me slightly worried by this stage)

To cut a long story short, the Doctor and the Consultant had never seen my "situation" before, and had decided to put me on the waiting list to see the Specialist, probably about 3-6 months wait.

But.... As they came out of the Consultants room, who was walking past ? The Specialist. They grabbed him quickly, and he saw me there and then !!!
He had seen the problem twice before, and if it re-appears he will see me immediately and fix it, but thinks it probably won't come back.

My luck was in again today :)

All that, and only away from home for 79 minutes :yu:

That's cool. Of course you've now whetted our appetite as to what's wrong with you but I'm going to be really really good and not ask you and not think about it again

Now he'll give us the incidences of that happening over the past 50 years and the statistical likelihood of it happening again in the next....

Oh so sorry Erick.

Apparently I have an oversized brain with sections of it having grown down to between my shoulder blades.

I wonder if anyone actually believed that, even for a split second ?

I was very lucky to get the parking space, and then see the specialist and consultant, without any further waiting. I should have bought a lottery ticket yesterday aswell !!

The chances of that happening to anyone again ? I'm not quite awake enough to work that out yet.
