We are coming to the Gold Coast for Christmas. Just a short 4 day trip, arriving 24 December and coming back on 28 December. We are staying with family. Any recommendations on what we can do over this break? We don't have any kids. |

Eat, Drink and Be Merry  I assume the family live in the area. Will they be wanting to take you around, or will it be a stay around the house type break ? A walk on surfers beach is a must though. |

I would love to but Eckies can't travel interstate. A kind neighbour has offered to come in twice a day to feed him and put him to bed. It's only 4 days so this shouldn't be so bad. Any longer and it would be something else. We are going to England next year and will have to look at someone to house sit for a month I think. |

Or a nice 20-30 minute walk  Things to do - theme parks, Tamborine Mountain, Lamington National Park, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctury, visit the best beaches in the world on the Southern end of the coast, Zorbing, eating, drinking, being merry, the list goes on and on and on and........ Have a brilliant time and I hope the weather is good to you. Last christmas was shite. |

Its rolling downhill while you are inside a big clear plastic ball. Does that make sense. :ooer: |

As Bordy says, you climb into a huge plastic/rubber clear ball and then roll down a relatively shallow hill in it. You can put water in them and get really really wet but apparently it's brilliant - not tried it, the day we were up there having a wander was a damn cold day one August :D Here's the website http://www.zorb.com.au/  |

:D It makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. I can't think why anyone would want to do that...claustrophobia, feeling sick and dizzy... What was that song the Beatles did - Fool on the Hill "but the fool on the hill sees the sun going down and the eyes in his head see the world spinning round..." Each to their own, I guess. :nah: |
