They are building houses behind me, so I am taking photos of the build process: I was sure we could insert photos from our computer direct to here... maybe I am wrong. I will look into this so I can post the photo. That must be what the photobucket is for... |

I think you need to upload the pic to a website storage site first...then click on the 'image' bit. You do realise that until now we thought you knew EVERYTHING! Interesting to see how things change with the house builds. |

Unfortunately I think you are right. I'll get around to doing something with the photos later, . . . . if I remember ;) Edit.... Each of the photos have been put behind a "spoiler tag" so that they do not use up to much computer power for anyone on a slow connection. Each photo can be toggled on and off, so that ALL photos do not need to be loaded every time the page is viewed. Hope it helps.. Edited by ABCDiamond, Oct 30 2008, 09:21:20 AM.

Blimey, I want one :D Remedial builders have completely gutted all our balconies and laying damp-proofing and started on some of the bathrooms. Balcony walls are being tied into brick pillars they are building on each balcony. Wouldn't have wanted too many hefty guys leaning on the wall yarning, beers in hand, before it was done  Terribly noise and mess but all positive. Taken 8 years to get to this point. Glad I dug my heels in I was determined to see us all regain full market value. Seeing that house go up behind you though ABC,makes me wonder how much it would cost to do something similar. Do you know much about it? Is it a kit home or custom designed? Edited by TopCat3, Oct 30 2008, 10:29:46 PM.

It is just a normal house build. The builders are putting up about 50 houses in the large block behind us. It used to be a farm, and most houses are chosen by the new owners from the site plans and show houses that are available. The builders are also building some as turn key, to be sold on completion: http://www.ausbuild.com.au/Turn-Key-Listings.php I'll nip out in a minute and see which block number that one is. |

Lucky its not a double storey house ABC, it is very close to your back fence. Dont think I would be too happy if that house was built so close to mine. Its amazing how quickly the houses are going up. Mel |

We are looking into buying some 2.5 metre tall hedges now. And yes, I was relieved when I found it wasn't a 2 storey. I asked the workers, when they were laying the foundations, what it was going to be :) |

The red soil is terrible, it stains everything and never comes out. You should have seen the mess around our place when we had the pool put in, there were red soil tracks all the way to the dump in Birkdale. |

When we moved here, we were told the red soil was great. Now we are here, we know why the house builders put down reddish colour patio paving, and reddish indoor tiles, and a light red carpet !! Or has it all just gone red over the years ? |
