Wow its lovely, I have a 1970's red dial phone and I love it. Kids could not understand how to make calls with it and had to be shown how to dial. I love the way they ring, it reminds me of my childhood at my Mum and Dads house.

lol, i was gobsmacked ... i loved staying at balmoral - my friends were aussie nurses i worked/lived with in london back in the early 90's - kept in touch for years and they asked me to stay with them when i went backpacking round aus in 1995 - ended up staying for about 7 weeks!. i fell in love with sydney - id love to go back there but it would be too expensive with a family. id walk up to taronga zoo and get the ferry into the city every day, get groceries and have tea ready for them when they got in from work ... ah, happy memories.

think i might start a new thread ...
