Been doing the points again to see if we can get the independent visa. Now if my Oh does the ilets test he is 5 points short for the 175.If he is assessed as a mechanical engineering technologist.
However i wondered if i could add the 5 points as a partner. Do i just need to do the ilets test and that would give us the extra 5 points for partner skills?
Im also thinking about being assessed as a welfare worker, as when i read the asco thingy, it said any one with experience as a nurse and a diploma or degree in welfare work is eligable. So i have been qualified 18 years as an en (unemployed for nearly 6 said work expereince for 3 out of the last 10 i think) however i have diploma in health and social welfare and a certificate in understanding health and social care. As ive not finished my Bsc yet i cant add that .
so do you think that would be worth a chance?
AS it looks like my being enrolled with the NSWNB may not happen as they are making me jump through too many hoops by asking for my nurse training syllabus even though the NMC have already send my nursing transcrips they said it wasn't enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Sorry for the essay but can you help with my questions?
Mandy

Mandy you have to be able to satisfy the basic requirements ... so in other words you get the extra 5 points if you would be able to pass all the basic bits like age, recent work experience, english lang, skills ass ... all the things you would get points ordinarily(sp?) for.
id have another read of booklet 5, im sure it explains it in there,

good luck :flowers:

Everytime my wife says that, I run for cover... It always means changing something around in the house or the garden.
