But I had to eventually make the decision to stay here in Australia or head back to the UK. And I've decided to go back - I'd love to stay, I love it here and have wanted this for so long, but it's too damn hard on your own. Maybe if I was a different person I could stay for the long haul, but I'm not and being back home for xmas just made me realise what I had left behind. My family and friends and the support that they can offer me is what I really need.

I've struggled plenty over the last year, mainly with what to do for the best for all of us. I'd love to give my boys the lifestyle that I craved so much for them, but at the end of the day they can still have a decent childhood back in England with the love and support from everyone back there. They are at the moment boys, but Luke is fast growing into a young man and I could see by being back there that they have some great male role models in their uncles and that's what I think they really need right now and for the next few years.

Luke has found it tough to accept, he's had plenty of tears, but now understands that I also need the support too. He is a good lad. Jordan is pretty adaptable and I know that he will settle wherever I'm happy - he is that type of boy.

My eyes are really heavy with tears now, I've cried buckets over the xmas hols, but I know what I'm doing is right for all of us. I've made some fantastic mates here and I'm going to miss them all dreadfully, but oz is only a day away and I'm already planning a "tour" of Australia next year for our holiday.

I just want to say a huge thanks to you all - you're the best.xxxxxxx

So be it puddy

I wish you all every hapiness when you go back there CG.

There are many thoughts, many options, and yes even many opinions but there are no right and wrong decisions in what we choose to do.

There are however instincts, and even when we are unsure or undecided, we have to follow them.

I guess that must be one of the hardest decisions you ever had to make CG.

I bet you will be missed so much by the friends around you in Aus but as you say the support of family & friends back in the UK is second to none.

Ive a sneeking suspicion it won't be forever & ever though & as the boys become teenagers & young men they may well start to think of Australia again.

Very very best of luck back in England CG. :kissed:

:kissed: to you both.
Luke is sad to leave, but I've told him he can always come back and he had a good old sulk about it, but he will be ok - he has some great mates here and I'll encourage him to stay in touch with them. I did really think long and hard over this - it's taken me months to get there, but I'm starting to think more positively about the move back. I've had to really, as i was dragging my feet and not doing any of us any good.

You will, of course, be still part of our lives here, won't you? :upset: I truly hope so.

I wish you every happiness and success in whatever path you choose in life, Deb, and I hope that the move will see you get the love and support that you need. :flowers: :kissed:

You've always got the option of coming down under again another time.

Now, no more tears; the decision's made; onwards and upwards, what ho?! If there's anything I can help you with, albeit from a distance, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thats fantastic news Deb, not that your going back of course but that you've made a decision, it must have been a very hard one. You've taken the first step to moving on and although it will be hard it is a huge first step that you will take so much courage from.

Wishing you all the luck in the world.

I'd love to, but just don't think I can as I'm going to be leaving the first week in April mainly due to the school hols in England :( , but I will come back for holidays and really want to show the boys more of the east coast. I hope to stop over that way next year.

It was hard, but to be honest I think deep in my heart I always knew that I'd go back. After Paul died I said I would go back, then I changed my mind, but I realised that we needed to be back with family.

Deb,

Well done! It's hard to make the right decision even when you know that it's the right decision. Even practically it can be hard but with all the emotions that have been involved it is even more complex.

A long time ago David asked me what I would do if I had been in your shoes...... I honestly couldn't answer him because I had no idea. I played it out one night in my head and couldn't sleep for hours, and whilst I can't empathise, I can sympathise and have a mild comprehension of what it must have been like reaching this decision.

It will be great to have the kind of support you experienced during your trip on a longer time basis. Like many have said you've been a star and it's time to draw on some well deserved support.

Maybe I'll get to meet you face to face sometime after all!!!!
