Have our first family visitors arriving tomorrow.
One of my sisters and her hubby.

Bit peeed orf cos I'm supposed to be picking them up from the airport and despite numerous requests they haven't given us the flight details.

All we had was an email some weeks ago saying arriving Cairns 8.20am.

So is that international or domestic ? Fooked if I know.

Bix I would go with the domestic terminal as most of the flights would have to either land in Darwin first if coming the most direct route or from down South before hitting Cairns  Good luck

Just wait at the airport main gate, complete with esky, barbie and folding chairs. That way you'll have summat to sup on while you wait for them to wait for you then finally decide to ring you or catch a taxi. :bix:

Bixy - don't turn up and they'll phone you from the airport - then you can tell them it takes an hour to get to the airport from home. Its their fault - don't stress.

We'll be doing the same thing on Monday as my bro and family are coming.

Well, we went to the international reception cos all incoming flights have to come through to the same lounge area.

There were 3 flights all listed as having landed so I thought we would be there for ages. Da Boss had to go for a leek (morning tea zone) and when she came back she said "they're over there look".

I hadn't recognised them even though they were only the second people to emerge.
Never thought that would happen :blushing:

I can understand them missing me as I now sport a number 3 shaven head job and they wouldn't have expected that.

During the day we took then to the Esplanade and into cairns central shopping mal to pick up a few toiletry bits and bobs and local sim card.

Twas a struggle but got them to book 2 full day excurtions. The outer reef and the Kuranda train and Skyrail jobbie.

So far so good.

I hadn't recognised them even though they were only the second people to emerge.

That happened when i took friends of mine to the airport to pick up his brother. The friends had been to a family wedding and were both well peeed when we got there. we stood at the rail in the arrivals hall and every bloke on his own who came through got the shout of "simon how are you" (simon being the brothers name) except simon, who walked through, didn;t recognise them and they were too drunk to recognise him..... me.... i had no idea who i was looking for, he spotted them after they shouted "simon how are you" at some other poor unsuspecting bloke.

well done on the tour booking, maybe you should get a job in sales

You've been lucky though, we're yet to get into the 30s (may have hit it one day ?), the weather here has been awful most of the time :(

But it was worse last spring, and the spring before that (when we first arrived) it was warmer in the UK than it was here - and it was mid-October!!!

We stood at Perth airport freezing our t*ts off

Give it a couple of weeks
