had 2 near misses yesterday ... and one this morning - all down to impatient ignorant selfish fekkn drivers .....

ive noticed in the last couple of months the roads in the mornings are so much busier than they have been - we have a 6 mile drive to school every morning and it doesnt matter how early we set off, we still hit heavy traffic! which wouldnt be so bad if it didnt consist of arrogant ignorant morons who ignore red traffic lights, and cos they have fast cars think they can just cut you up. yesterday i nearly wrote my car off on the roundabout cos a dick head in a sports car decided to go thorugh his red light and cut me up!! i managed to avoid a serious accident by slamming my brakes on - i missed him and a lorry by inches! the lorry driver stopped to make sure we were ok but the sports car just sped off. now my car smells funny .... ... apparently due to the serious hammering i gave the brake pads  ...

i quite liked driving in aus ... found it very relaxed, in and around both SA and QLD ... and i put some kms in, i can tell you!!

... and .... breathe

:D

I think it is getting worse in the UK, its not too bad over here , but i haven't driven the car since i moved, however i bike every where and the drivers always give way to you. Maybe you should join me in Germany and you will feel safer lol

I can't say here is much better. I was driving up to Annes last week and had a huge lorry or three in front of me, two to the side and a humongous one behind who thought it was fun to see if he could attach himself to my towbar (if I had one). It was horrible, they were all exceeding the speed limit too.

As I approached a set of lights which had been red, the traffic was very slow pulling away due to all the lorries hogging all the lanes so I had to slow down. Lorry behind wasn't able to slow down as quickly so had to choose to either hit me or the hard shoulder, luckily he chose the latter. There were a few choice words I can tell you :she: OH told me I should have taken his number plate but he was so close to me I couldn't see it. I ended up going through a light as it turned red just to get away from him.
