Well, here I are, bad back 'n' all - though the painkillers plus vino are reasonably effective! :bar:

So, what've I missed? Anyone bin murd'rin', rapin' or pillagin'? :dunno: If not, why not?! :irked:  :P I see that not a lot's bin 'appinin' in 'A Peek'. Mite need to give our incumbent lorriette (sic), TC, a nudge, eh?! C'mon TC, c'mon, c'mon! :flowers:

Bixie-babe, why've you gorn pallid? 'Ave you got EI? (Thort that only affected equine beings not leonine beings. :scratchhead: :dunno: ) Well, I guess we'd best not move you, just in case. :lion:

Where's Soapy and 'as 'e bin lookin' after you all? :moon: :piper: Or 'as 'e bin too busy kayakin' aroond wiv the missus? :hmmmmmm:

Ladees, I hope Bordy's bin lookin' after you durin' Bixie's feverishness and Soapy's absence?

'Corse, you can always rely on our hunky lil Marco - he'll seeya rite. :kissed: Ok, so where is he? Too busy buildin' a mansion? :rosetints:

----------------------

Well, my lot's bin a bit o' madness. Am in a total pickle at the mo; don't know me arse from me elbow (or should that be kitchen from dining room? ) Me Ma's wanting to change the curtains for wooden slat blinds in the dining room has turned into a major renovation and a swap over of the kitchen and dining room areas, a huge hole in the wall to open up the lounge, shiteloads of drawing diagrams, planning layouts, telephoning for tradesmen, complete and utter muddles of furniture and whitegoods in the house, running around for bits 'n' pieces, relocating telephone lines (including crawling under the house - 3' off the ground  ), power points, taps, drains and washing machines (what's one o' them? ) and drinkin' beers with tradesmen in the arvos and generally having a good time ... as you do!

So, have you ever tried typing a long post whilst laying on yer stomach on the bed, with a crook back, half a fag hangin' oota yer moosh and a plonk :redwine: somewhere on the floor nearby (I hope!) and yer eyelids refusing to stay open for much longer? :yu:

Roight, I give up ... I'm off to bed .................. oh, that's right, I'm already there. :hide:

We are hoping to be in by the end of this month :more: I may not have a kitchen or a proper bathroom by then though and maybe not proper walls either  but I'm moving in!

A brief update for you.

The kitchen/dining room swap is coming along quite nicely. Gas man's finished hooking up the new stove top; plumber's finished connection the new sink, the old dishwasher and washing machine and disconnected all the old stuff; chippy's installed all kitchen cupboards, made one for the oven and microwave, and just has some smaller things left to do (i.e. fitting the vent for the rangehood, finishing off last of skirting boards, etc.) and the leccy (new one) has done all but the light fittings swap over and two last power points for the dining room. Will try to remember to take some pix and post them soon.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I'm still confined to typing/computering whilst laying on my stomach on the bed cos everywhere is full of furniture and crap which had to be boxed and moved to accommodate the kitchen swap. :irked: Never mind, at least my back's a bit better now.
