The house across from us has been for sale for a couple of months, only had 1 home open and no under offer sign has been put up so we presumed it was still unsold. Today thery have been loading up a van, trailers etc all day so i guess they are moving.

I've been like my bloody mother....... sat in the study with the venetians angled so i can see whats going on, if i had net curtains i'd be twitching them..... oooohhhh i wonder when the new people will be moving in?? then i can do it all again.

I seriously need to get a life!!

Haven't you taken the next step to turn totally into a Mother figure and walk over casually and start asking 101 questions?

There was an old bint in our village that used to watch us stumbling home from the pub every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the early hours.

One night we were sort of well anebriated so gave her the mooney treatment.

Didn't see the curtains twitch any more after that.....just the flash of her camera

Now there's a worry.... my mother must be about 4ft8in too, do all old biddys shrink to that sort of size once they hit pension age   If so then i'll have to make sure they have floor to ceiling windows in my retirement home or i'll not be able to curtain twitch without a box to stand on.

BTW i found out the house has been sold so i am keeping my calander free for the next few days so i can watch the new arrivals, hope it's not friday cos John will be home so i wont be able to sit in the study i might have to resort to doing the garden, walking the dogs round the block loads of times and playing out the front with the kids.
