I read or make jewellery when I have the time (which is rare) I love experimenting with food too, but can't always be bothered with the cleaning afterwards. |

flippin' 'eck, I barely have time to read your posts Pete let alone anything else. Well ok, I like gardening too (my narcissi smell gorgeous at the mo), walking the dog on the beach (and collecting shells and rock pooling), quilling (if I get the chance), surfing (the web) and Columbo  |

Pete.... I'm very impressed with the cycling, I'm exhausted driving 70ks!!! I don't actually know when i last had time to spend on something i want to do for myself, i play tenpin bowling once a week, thats my 90 mins for me as they have a creche. I love doing my airbrushed tattoos so if anyone in WA is having a fete at school or anything then let me know as i'm hoping to get back into the swing of doing events again this summer. |

hehehe , sorry if i made you jump
 i just bought some clay and decided to try sculpting one day last year, thats my 1st sculpt/mask. im making a closed mouth version at the moment, its about 70% done. sculpt the process is in several stages, 1st the sculpt in clay. then make a 2 part plaster mold on top,let it set then crack the mold open and dig out the clay. ( if the plaster hasnt gone into all the little holes, the whole thing is knackerd so its pretty scary opening it ) once all the clay is out you put the 2 peices of plaster back together and pour in some latex, let it set and boom a mask. then i gota paint them which is the fun part :D when this is finished id like to try some different things, idealy id love to make a living out of this but i dont think thats possible. |

it's a shame you are not in this neck of the woods, as you could do a class and teach me how to! Seriously I'm very impressed. I think maybe once you have a few items you should advertise them, you may not make a living out of just those , but you may make some extra$$$$$!. Also you should contact film companies etc. I know thats mostly USA based, but you never know.  |

Gawd even the detail on the clay one is amazing  can you also do sculptures of real people? We have an amazing sculpture of just a head made out of some sort of metal - not sure what exactly but OH would know as it was his mothers. She had got it from a man his father used ot work with that used to scuplt them as a hobbey and had them dotted around his house and garden. The one we have won some award and the detail in it is fantastic and very life like. You are very talented and I would be sending out pictures of your work to everyone I could if I had your talent. Claire - bling bling baby  I wish I could have the patience for things like that. You must give your friends and family some amazing pressies. |

Thankyou for the kind comments. I do sell them ;) its helped pay for my scuba gear hehe, and now hopefully they will pay towards out flight tickets to move to Cairns ( fingers crossed the emmigration process all goes to plan :dunno: ) i was surprised there is such a big fanbase for the film, and started selling them raw ( unpainted ) but as my painting got better i decided to only sell them painted, as the mold is made of plaster it will eventually give in to the persistant pulling of latex masks :( so its not going to last much longer :( I dont sell them with the dredlocks as the material is way too expensive to buy, i had to import the dredlocks for my mask grrr As soon as ive finished with this 2nd predator im going to try my hand at another sculpt, no idea what as yet, film mask,a head or something else , but i enjoy the process of sculpting as its pretty theraputic after a stressfull day working :D anyway glad you like :) |

 I also love tapestry though have only completed three as i like 'em big. I have been doing a meter square one of Sydney harbour for about 10 years LOL. We are also in the process of reserching and setting up an on line store (us and lots of others) not to get rich quick, just to top up the account and something for Matt to get his teeth into while Flynn sleeps  |

 Ok, so clearly THAT wasn't going to earn much  Just looking into stuff at the moment and doing research, it started from the whole ebay thing but we are just seeing what sells etc at the moment. We have some cd's coing from family in the UK that sell for $99 bucks here cos they are UK releases and hard to get hold of.... etc, but its only a small start. As i say he research is taking a lot of time... The craft cd's are just good for people with kids to entertain/ playgroups etc. I'm not thinking of selling them though as i don't know if theres much of a market there. |
