I managed to complete my 10 mile walk, i limped in a time of 2 hours 20. Feeling very frustrated with my self as id been going great guns and should have easily managed 1 hour 45 like i did last year. Got to the 7 mile mark, when i slipped coming down a steep incline on the stoney ground and went over on my ankle.
The rest of the walk was a real struggle and ive got blisters on my blisters.
some rather nice dishy st john ambulance were waiting for me at the finish line to take me to be looked at. I declined the offer of a wheel chair instead just leaned on their shoulders.
Ive not damaged the bone but it looks like ive either pulled a muscle or damaged my ligaments.
The boys were a great inspirations at supporting me though the finish line.
So im now trying to rest my ankle but with 3 boys to sort out there is little chance of that. lol

Feeling much better in my self now, a freind took the boys to school and after taking pain killers went back to bed. Fully caught up on sleep. Foot is all puffy and the bruising is no where near as bad as i thought it would have been last night.

Going to milk it like tonight with the boys and get them to fetch and carry for me lol

Cant see the dr till wednesday so ive made an apt just incase im still having problems walking on it.

well done for carrying on, try and rest it as much as possible though. Fingers crossed it's not the ligaments - I tore mine 27 years ago and still have problems every now and again if I do too much.
