Wow, they look fantastic. My kids learned to surf a couple of years ago, and were able to stand upright on the board almost immediately. Husband did lessons too but never managed to stand up on the board for more than a second and he stills moans about it this day

As you know we went to Port Bouvards Surf and Lifesaving clubs annual do last month - we had a great time - got a bit boring with all the awards, but my two boys came out of there that day saying that they do want to join the club now! The club offered us all life time membership to the club and we are going to take them up on it. I was pretty impressed by Luke as out of the two of them he seemed more keen to join and it also helps that a couple of his mates also want to join too.

I'm pleased as I want them both to enjoy and respect the sea and after watching surf patrol last night I can see how many awful accidents can happen (as we know to our cost), at the slightest change in the tide/weather. Now if they actually get up on a board that will be the greatest thing. The club is having an open day in october so we shall go along to that.

Your boys look pretty cool lynn - well done to them :more:

Lynn I can't help thinking if the boys did that back in Aberdeen they would now have frostbite.

CG, sounds like those two boys of yours are gonna give you plenty of "proud mother" moments.
Good on them.
