Yes thanks Hevs.
Just banged my head on the roof of the car a bit.
Well as right as ever :P

Was travelling along at about 50 after a shallow bend in the road when a Holden lost control in the next lane and slid sideways into my rear left corner of the car.

I bet the holden driver got the shock of his life when this bloody great lion stepped out of the car he'd just hit

Glad you're ok Bixie, don't forget to put in a compo claim for that dreadful whiplash you're suffering from.

The other driver wouldn't get out of their car :lion:

The drivers door was buckled right in where they had broadsided me.

Didn't want me to call the police but I did when I saw a spot of blood on their shoulder. Wasn't going to take any risks.

Twas lovely being checked over in the ambulance by the nurse.
"Where does it hurt she said ?"
"In my groin says I"
"I thought you hit your head" she says.
"I did sayd I" :bix:

Anyway they admitted it was all their fault but still got all the hassle to put up with and no doubt my insurer will try to screw me for sumat.

No, twas an old Barina Hevs.

Buggered the bumper and light section all on the corner area but pretty much bounced off me.

I'm impressed at the strength of my Tuscon  but it'll still costs several bucks I dare say.

Thanks Jane.

Oooo dear, Bixie. :o Glad yer ok.

As a veteran of two rear-enders (and a former personal injuries paralegal), my advice is not to be too hasty to say that you have no injuries. Whiplash has a nasty tendency to creep up on you over a couple of days after the accident. If you need any help with the legalities of it all, just give me a hoy. ;)

Take care, mate.

Tell me more Michelle.

The police called the ambulance for the other driver.

I was fine but the paramedic insisted on checking my pulse and blood pressure and of course took my details.

I've been suckered haven't I ?

It's the condition of the road. It's crap.

It's the main Captain Cook highway through the centre of Cairns and they've been working on this stretch for ages. No-one seems to know what they are doing but it's a bloody mess with no proper lane markings and loose gravel everywhere.

Police think she was going a tad too fast coming out of the small bend and lost control
and slid on the gravel across lanes into my butt.

Her car is a wreck compared to mine as caught the full impact on the drivers door.

Well, watch out for delayed reactions - physical and other.

Her reactions were delayed, obviously...

Take care Bix. It's only a lump of metal, you are irreplaceable.

Yes, I'm fine thanks CG.

Law of averages says I would have been involved in an accident sooner or later and it could have been far worse.
