do any of you belong to an airlines loyalty club. Just wondering if it was worth doing if you always fly with the same airline. I've just looked at Qantas as i'm flying to Sydney and also going back to London for a holiday at xmas. You have to pay a one off fee with them of $82.00. Do you have to do this with other airlines? Paul used to belong to BA club and as he travelled by himself a fair bit with business (at one point anyway), he used to get some benefits. |

You have to pay a fee to join FF clubs like Qantas and the lilke. If you only do about 2 trips a year then its probably not worth it. |

There was no fee to join Qantas FF years ago, then they introduced a yearly one. I think that they lost all their members because a few years later they contacted me and said that they had cancelled the fees and given us all our points back. You can keep your points forever as long as you fly at least once every three years. :) |

Join up online - and give a UK address 'cos it's free to join as long as you're overseas. Then change the address before you fly. Simple. |

Yep, if you're outside Australia its free - for those not here yet its worth joining before you come, even if you aren't flying over with them. Might as well sign up when it costs nothing. |

Emirates is free to join and partmers with sri lankan airlines and loads of hotels and other buisnesses. Just from flying to oz we can get a zone 1 flight free (each). Stop overs with possible dessert safaris free are also possible. The points last for 3 years so it depends how much you fly. It's called skywards. Jane |
