Think I'd prefer Baker Who and the Garlicks - Dr Who is scary :hide:

My 11 year old watched an episode just before we left the UK and she STILL remembers the detail now and gets scared as the 'man' liquidized along with those inside him. We're all scarred for life because of that programme !! :(

I know, I know, I am SO excited, ever since I saw the first trailer and that it was Back Soon! :ecstatic: :ecstatic:

I have put a remote control Dalek on my Christmas list, local toy shop had them - look ideal for scaring the crap out of Nippy and will go nicely with my blow up Dalek (Doris!)

Exterminate!!!

Have you seen that new one called Torchwood? Nearly peeed myself laughing when I stumbled on it last week and it was all filmed around Cardiff. A bit of a doctor who spin off about aliens on earth and Cardiff was a great magnet to all things alien - which if any of you have been to Cardiff on a Saturday night you will know that is so true

You haven't been watching Dr Who have you Snapster?? Yes Torchwood is the spin off from Dr Who. There will be more references to Torchwood in future episodes of Dr Who as well. I'm still a bit unsure about Torchwood though, the acting wasn't up to much. I'll keep watching it though - there's nothing else on tv. :P

:hide: I could always spoil it for you......

All I can say is watch out for the angels; Steph left the room and had nightmares and she's 11!

Mixed opinions on this series from my family, it's almost finished over here.

We are watching Torchwood but it isn't for the kids apparently so we are recording it and watching it first. Can't say that it has hooked me as yet but it was only the first show so we will stick with it a bit longer.
Doctor Who on the other hand is a whole family thing  .

Ooo bugger no I haven't been watching Dr Who :blushing: I thought the acting was awful on Torchwood but tonight just had me in stitches with the sexed craxed alien and the Welshy sayings that popped in every now and then, plus a few great shots of the Stadium and I'm pretty sure I had been in that night club during one drunken foam party thing

What a pile of pants, why on earth anyone thought that awful Catherine Tate would make a good companion for an episode is beyond me - after about 2 minutes I wanted to smash her face in!!

Here's hoping the new series is better than this Christmas spec..... saw the preview and at least my faves are in it!

I totally agree with you Bridie. Very disappointing. I don't know who Catherine Tate is but she's not even pretty. I've heard this series has been a bit of a flop as well.

We recorded the show as I was out doing drama with the youth group and I have just watched it. It was OK but at least I know that the Daleks are on in a couple of weeks  . That cheered the kids up as they got a bit bored with the Christmas episode.

Last night was cool. My 6 year old is running around with her cardi up over her face pretending to be a drood (or whatever they were).
