My mate has just sent me a copy of Black Country Bygones that she bought in a garage sale in Canberra. It is a real laugh and the kids love it as it reminds them of the many trips made the the Black Country Museum :) .
Haven't time to read any proper books though, too busy studying (managed the Very Hungry Caterpillar though :P )

I've recently read some of Judy Nunns books (Ailsa from Home and Away) most are about early settlers in Aus and even though each of them has had a bit whichhas had me bawling my eyes out i've enjoyed them all.

i'll have to look out for them -didn't realise she was also a writer

i'm reading a rather tame Maeve Binchy book at the moment - its easy to read though.

recently finshed, Queen of surbia - okish and At risk by Patricia Cornwell

i need something to really get my teeth into - and i bought some good books when i went back to the UK - but i dont want to start them - how daft is that!!!!!

Chattermonster Extraordinaire!

I am reading Green Darkness, it's about a woman who is married to this guy and turns out that they are reincarnated from hundreds of years ago when she was a priest and had an affair with him and ended up walled up at Ightam Mote in Kent.

Spooky thing is, my mum read the book years ago but could never remember what it was called, then when they visited Ightam Mote she saw it and bought herself and me a copy. Cat ruined it though as he knocked my bubble thermometer over and I had to rip the last 20 or so pages off.

Last week we popped in the Salvos shop and what caught my eye in the book area..........
