Hi all

Yes my poor wee girl has been struck down with a dose of a rather nasty cold. The boys have all got it too so it was ony a matter of time before she became a snotty wreck. She has no idea whats wrong and why she can't breath properly, has gunky green snot everywhere and gunky eyes too, she just keeps looking at me with a look that says "Mum whats wrong with me, make me better". But she is being soooo good with it, no crying, shouting ot whinging, unless i put her down..... yes she wants 24/7 cuddles and only mum will do, thats 2 days and 2 nights of cuddling. I've managed to get her to her own bed now but don't expect it to be for too long so i'm off to try and get some sleep.

So i may not be posting, but i'm still nipping on to read whats going on, just replying to things is hard with my hands full of sick bub. Oh and i'll likely not be back till monday as John is working from home tomorrow and friday and is pulling a 24/7 weekender too so the pc will be his, i love it when he works these weekend things (not).

I hated the fact that I couldn't make them better at the age as they have total faith in you!

Wish you some restful sleep even if it comes in small doses

Take care

Thanks for the kind wishes everyone, she's no better today and now her Dad is full of it too, needless to say she is a better patient than old mr grumpy is. Last night i ended up watching the latest episode of Boston Legal from the US, i felt like i needed a good laugh, anyway by the time i'd watched that she was awake and that was that, she spent the night snuggled in beside me, i may not get a good sleep but she is a fab hot water bottle

My eldest was sent home from school today from feeling ill, she left this morning a bit snuffy but now she's bunged right up.

Luckily she is old enough to veg out on the sofa and watch a heap of DVD's.

Has yours got a temperature as well with the cold?

Hope you get some sleep tonight :flowers:

Hope yours gets better soon Sasha.

No temperature, just stuffyness and snot which makes it really hard for her to feed. I've used some babybalsam on her chest and put some on my boobs too (thank god its not the adult strength) so it helps her breathe when she feeds, it seems to be turning into a cough now, listening to her and John both coughing in their sleep my bedroom sounds like a chest ward

I'm hoping the breast feeding fairy is watching over me so i don't get it.

Nah, you'll get it when everyone else is better and they'll still expect you to get on with everything without complaint.

You forget about when babes have colds, that they struggle to feed, poor thing, I guess your house sounds like a sick bay :D :flowers:

Just so you can all heave as much as I did when I heard this - when my sisters girls were tiddly, the youngest was about 6 months and got a foul cold, totally bunged up and struggling to breath. My darling sister did nothing more than suck it all out of Nic's nose :nosepicker: :yuck: :barf: Night all

Eeeew!! :barf:
I was going to suggest putting a damp towel on the warm radiator to put moisture in the air but then realised being in Oz you probably won`t have central heating!! You could try sitting in the bathroom with lots of steam though.
