Peace and bloody quiet!!

Both children (3 and 30) wind each other up and it bloody war at the best of times. I dread the weekends because I know what it will be like. Stressful.

My Psoriasis has reared up, and its stress related. I am always the piggy in the bloody middle and I am sick of it.

The 30 year old expects the 3 year old to be a little adult and doesnt realise that he is a little boy and should be treated accordingly. But every time I make suggestions he has a huff and accuses me of treating him like a bad parent.

I feel like I am going insane here and cant wait to get to work tomorrow

Just need a little rant, thanks for listening.

Can you not just go out for a walk and leave them some jobs to do?

I want peace and quiet today too, but am cooking dinner for everyone while they fight and scream at each other

As well as being mothers day, its oldest's 16th birthday.

I bought him a new mobile phone and other bits and pieces as a presents and am cooking a big roast dinner (his choice) and he had night out at movies and pizza etc last night. You would think he would at least think to get me a card for mothers day - but no!!!! He works at Kmart but even that did not give him a hint to get me something.

Daughter 14 gave me two bars of chocolate, no card either, husband said he had given her $20 to buy me a present, guess the rest of the money went on herself.

Son 8 redeemed the day, he bought me lovely gifts from the mothers day stall at school, including a ring, earrings, candle, purse and lipstick!!!!! He also painted a portrait of me and framed it and made me a card. What a sweetie :kissed: I really appreciate him, as soon I know he will grow up and become a selfish teenager like the other two!!! And he won third prize for me in the mothers day raffle at school - the prize being a brazillian waxing voucher!!!!!!

Right off to make a pavlova for oldests birthday dessert, and when I am exhausted after all that, it will be time to get ready and go to work tonight.

Happy Mothers Day

my two have been little darlings, jordan was really excited last night before he went to bed and insisted that he would be first one up - which he was and they both left me in bed (arrhhh). They gave me their home made cards which were lovely and a box of chocs (thanks to heather for taking them out).

We've been out to try and find somewhere to eat - Luke was getting really annoyed as everywhere in Mandurah was busy and thats even places like Gloria Jeans (I'd resigned myself to a cup of coffee by this point). So now its chooks tonight as I have nothing really great for dinner and we are going out tomorrow after school.

They have behaved wonderfully so far and have got on so well today - why can't it be everyday  both of them are even finisihing off their homework. :kissed:

Ah, CG, glad you're having a good day, I think it was really important for Luke that you did too.

As for Mel, :flowers: your son works in K Mart and couldn't even get you a card ?!! If I were you I'd pick next Sunday to be your day, sit down, put your feet up and leave all the chaos to go on around you whilst you wath crappy tv all day :D

Well it's our middle ones birthday, but he is now 22 and in the UK so no dramas there. It's also my mother's birthday and she is in the UK :woohoo: It is also my dog's birthday and Alex has walked her so that's fine. As for me.....

Alex woke me this morning with breakfast in bed and a cafe latte in the cafe latte mug he'd bought me for mother's day. He then emptied the dishwasher and cleared the kitchen before we went off to watch his soccer game (a 10-0 win). He has now just made me bacon sandwiches before he goes off out to help his dad with the green waste collection due this week.

I'm sure normal services will be resumed tomorrow

Oh yes, Alex got me a very appropriate card that said on the front "Mum, I'd be lost without you". Inside read "so would my school books, my mobile phone, my soccer boots etc" Gemma had even saved a card from UK mother's day and sent it to me on time for here

aw shucks, :blushing: no biggy.

I have to say though - EVERYONE in Mandurah was shopping for Mother's Day yesterday !!

Anne - I like Alex's card - so true !! Glad you had brekkie in bed too, shows he cares !

In the UK I always insisted on doing nothing all day but here I'm just not bothered so a normal day all round (OH is breathing a sigh of relief). Church this morning was fab - it was a celebration of all women - so we all were given a flower as we went in, the kids each made a flower arrangement in Sunday school and, after the service, men and kids were banished and we were treated to tea, cakes, sarnies and savouries whilst a guy played the guitar. :D

Yeah that was a mammoth gesture as mornings really are not his thing

Many years ago when I was a single parent the oldest 2 (about 8 & 10 at the time) banished me to have a bath while they made me a cake. I was so cold and shrivelled by the time they let me out and I had to pretend to be surprised at what they had been up to

On Friday I had to go into the school and be treated like a queen (even got given a crown and cape to wear made by my youngest) then sat there and watched a beautiful dance and listen to a couple of songs....bought a tear to my eye I can tell you :)

On the day we had to get up extra early to take my friend back to the airport :( but bless her she had bought me a necklace I had my eye on whilst I was in the butchers on day on behalf of the girls. They had then made me a heap of home made cards.

I also was given a voucher saying they will be good for me all day.....mmmmmmm.....not too sure what happened on that score!

After the airport we went off to watch Meet the Robinsons which was a good film but ont he way back they screamed and fought in the car until I screamed at them saying the voucher meant nothing

They did shut up after that and were very loving bless them
