I always used to do that - put things in the stairs for people to take up when they went - although they did usually ignore it all.

Hevs - surely the car hire place had a spare set of keys so they'd just need to charge for a recut ? Never heard of having to be towed etc.

Roll on the next episode !

Phew, i'm back. I lost you all but Fraser helped me find you again!

The kids had a ball in wollies yesturday when they spotted the pick n mix! I bought matchmakers and dandelion and burdock, yumarama! Niall has about 60 packs of pickled onion monster munch and Leahs happy with her rolos and bon bons! Matts wrapped with ps2 games at 2 for £20. And we are loving lovin lovin the £3 books in tescos. I'm currently glued to Anthony Kedies "Scar tissue" which i looked at for $35 in borders, cost me £4 in Tesco! Oh and Flyn has his first book which is the hungry caterpillar

Flynn says to say hi (awwahhwah) and not to worry to much cos hes feeling much better today

 :more:

Agreed!

Glad to hear that Flynn's much better!

Sounds like you're having fun in blighty; enjoy while it lasts!

Wish I could find a half decent boopshop here in Cairns and with bargains like that...

I still do that :blushing: I have an upstairs in my unit...

Only thing is I can't get the cats to mount the stairs on their hind legs and carry things in their paws, so I have to do it all. :P

Yeah I picked it up from my Mum too, we had to do that.

A spare set, now yes, thats a good plan, but not one that would earn them any extra money, clearly  They are immobilised keys so they have to be reprogrammed to the car. My mates gonna bring the machine out to us and do it on the drive which is the most logical thing to do, but then they are a Vauxhall garage not the rac i suppose. It won't be till tueday though as the key won't be here till then, but no drama Matts Dad has put us on his insurance for a week.

OOOH another oddity, he had to pay for it. On our Aussie insurance you don't have to pay extra :)

Sunday dinner at the pub was fab! roats beef and yorkies, proper beers etc all good  I walked Niall home in the rain as he was going stir crazy being penned in so long. We walked up to the church where Matt and i got married and he was amazed that we were allowed in to explore. We then walked around the village seeing which houses we could afford to buy! Even the one bed cottages would be out of our league by now i would think!

We got up monday and guess what?? It was STILL friggin raining so we caught good old British rail into London. It cost us £40 for 4 of us including tube, so not bad. (we are based in Banbury, about 25 miles north of Oxford) The journey, although rainy, was beautiful. Rolling green fields, horses, cows farmhouses etc. Well untill we hit High Wycombe, they it got increasingly manky :S

We had a tube adventure (the kids loved it) to Piccadilly, got cracking photies of them in the gail force winds an torrential rain  Went to the Virgin megastore and stocked up on some rare, but £5, CD's  We walked up to Carnaby Street. Matt and i were both really "alternative" people in our youth and spent many a Saturday trawling Carnaby St (shoe heaven) and Kensington Markets for out there stuff. Well! What a sodding dissapointment :she: Its full of designer crap, surf shops and executive stuff, NOT impressed :dunno:

So then we braved our way to Hamley's, Niall was in heaven, but got fairly stroppy cos he wanted to buy big stuff that we couldn't fit in our cases!

Then onto the science and history museum, which is not only awesome, but free   And had a really great time.

Everyone who we asked directions from, bought stuff from etc were nice and friendly and even had some commuters chat to us on the hideously crowded tube station.(some tool had puled the emergency cord  )

We did note that not only were we the loudest, most animated people using the transport system, but we were bloody filthy to boot. Nialls jacket has a mustard colour inset on the insides of his sleeves, they were, quite literally, black!! (I have a photo but will put them in a bucket once home and let you all have a look!) I did the acid test last night and blew my nose really hard! Yep, it was black snot!!

Today is the day we get our car back so we can go explore the locality a bit better, but guess what? Yes! Its STILL raining! Its hard cos i don't want Flynn out in it, but we still have to go out with the other two. Matts Mum had him yesterday but don't like to ask to much! We might be staying longer, will find out later :)

My Brother & Sister are coming over for a week during my birthday. I already put them off from coming the weekend before as I had to go & pick Hevs up at the airport. Now shes changed her flight.

So when she arrives I will be staying at the Crown hotel in CBD & out on the tramcar restaurant the night before.

So if anyone in Melbourne can help out & take Matts X Trail to the airport for 7am Saturday morning it would be much appreciated.

Otherwise its a long walk home for Hevs, Matt & Flynn. :(
