it was on the news the other day that john reid has decided an efficient and cost effective way of keeping tabs on visitors to the uk who are here on temp passports should be sent mobile phone texts to remind them when their visa is about to expire.

to say i was gobsmacked was an understatement :mah:

next they will be taxing interest on childrens savings accounts ....

hands up who thinks uk politicians are thick as proverbial poop!??

they're not much better here either. we've a huge corruption case going on at the moment, an old premier and some other bloke basically bribing pollies to get developments etc passed through, been on the news nearly every night, quite a few pollies have been sacked over it.

makes me laugh that the fact pollies are corrupt makes headline news - dont we all know that? :lol:

It's much more entertaining to hear them bad mouth each other here though. None of the Right Honourable whatsit this or that, just you bloody idiot etc etc :lol: All pollies are strange, thats why they want to do the job.
