You lot are great at coming up with ideas so I'm out to pick your brains once again. The students at school have to fund raise for their formal/magazien etc but this year due to th healthy eating options they can't fund raise the usual ways. The majority is by chocolate sales and as chocolae is a red food group they can't use it.

So any ideas as to how they can raise a bit of cash?

at our schools last school fair the things that were most popular were things like a funky hair design stall, hand made jewelery and airbrushed tattoos. on the back of that i always thought it would be good to have a glitz and glamour fair, mainly aimed at the girls i suppose. The kids could do the organising and get local businiesses in to do things such as tattoos, nail art, hair etc on the condition that they contribute x amount per sale to the school.

The last school fair we were only supposed to pay $5 for our stall but as my kids are at the school i agreed to give $1 per tattoo and contributed close to $100.

or.....in a previous life as a virgin vie consultant i used to do fundraisers, it would be an evening in the school and i'd do a skin care demo and a make up demo, each table would have a selection of products on their table to try out themselves and the school got a %age of the sales on the night. Some of those were very lucrative, for me as well as the school

As for the boys they can do a car wash

In keeping with their healthy eating, could they perhaps sell raffle tickets for a fruit a veg hamper?

Thankyou for your suggestions I like the idea of a product night. It is hard as they already do all the free dress days, socials, sizzles, etc In a spin off to your fruit and veg hamper Anne they could do a fruit keebab instead of sausages

I was on the PTA back in the UK and one sure fire thing to raise a fortune was when the head teacher woul dgo into the stocks to have wet sponges thrown at him

Also, when we did a cake stall we didn't put prices on but asked people to contribute what they thought. Rather than looking tight they paid a good price. We doubled our takings for the cake stall that year
