had a nice hour or so with the new grandparents (anne & terry) last night, then had to take my youngest to mandurah A&E due to to er hmmm you know whats swelling up!!! - hes had this before twice in fact and the quacks have no idea why it happens.

anyway, get to A&E - was warned by a lovely lady that some people had been waiting for 4 hours - just for some bloody medicine. still due to jordan's swelling in a very private place they put him to the top of the list and we were seen in 15 mins. saw a Dr who then informed me that I now had to take the poor old thing to Princess Margarets hospital for children in Perth (arggghhhh I hate bloody driving and i hate driving at night even more - but i put my I can do this hat on and drove up there - with my dad - thank god they are still here with me).

Jordan had lots of Drs having a look at his privates including a very pretty young doctor who my dad kept going on about - I wonder why!!! he stayed in - so did myself and dad, released this morning wih drugs and no conclusion as to why this happens - its not rare either.

Oh the poor soul, bad enough having something like that but having everyone looking at it must be a nightmare.

But well done you and your "i can do this" hat.

If it's the kind of swelling I think you're referring to, as a nurse, the biggest I've seen so far was about two feet long and about a foot and a half wide! I kid you not...

Mind you, he had left it about 20 years before getting it checked out....

it was his testicles and it seems to be a fairly common problem - will find out more next week when he goes back for a check up.

well look, come over to Perth (i've no idea where you are), have yourself a terrible ingury - like a beer bottle getting stuck in your mouth or something, pretend you are a child and get admitted to Princess Margarets Hosp for Kids (A&E dept) and hopefully the blonde bombshell will be on duty.
