Yep, it's an anteater.

There are literally trillions of ants but doesn't seem to be a natural predator.

Think there should be a specal visa category for anteaters.

They would never go hungry and there shite may help to fertilize the red dirt.

Yep, haven't yet seen any wild ones in Queensland, just the ones at Australia Zoo, but my ex in Hobart had one that used to visit his garden sometimes. Bit bigger than hedgehogs, and they just amble about like a very large wandering pincushion.
My nephew collects anything to do with hedgehogs and is hoping to kidnap an echidna and take it home after visiting me later this year :rolleyes:

I've seen a squashed one on the road. Quick tip don't drive over them as you will get a puncture from them...luckily I didn't but I know others that did :D
