it's hummer and war boys golden wedding in 4 weeks time and i need a little help on the pressie front please. originally we were all going to go to kalbarri but my brother hasn't mentioned it since his first enthusiastic yes and we don't have enough car space to just take the olds ourselves, plus john has said he aint going anywhere with my brother and sil. all i've come up with is a professionally done photo of the kids or even one with john and me in it too :) so any other suggestions, it has to be easily carried back with them and guaranteed not to give them heart attacks (bungee jumps and vouchers for the local brothel are out) |

Soapy mentioned before about making up a scrap book for his Gran a while ago and I mentioned a site where you could upload photos and create an actual printed book as a pressie. |

I like catgirls suggestion You could also give them a river cruise, we sorted one for my friends that came here on honeymoon as I hadnt a clue what else to get them (they've been together over 10 years) It was an evening cruise up the Swan River with a three course meal - they said it was lovely, the food was excellent and they just kept bringing them wine! From memory it was only about $70 each or something, not very much. I'l do a quick google and see if I can find it. This was it http://www.captaincookcruises.com.au/html/cruises_f.html |

Thanks for the suggestions........ I did think about the cruise or the train trip that goes out the avon valley, friends did that and said it was great. The weekend away would suit me fine, but since they've been here they've spent 1 week here and 3 weeks in Mandurah so i don;t think they'd want to go off again for a while and as for the spa CG, hummer is 79 and warboy 84, the thought of either of them on a massage table mnakes me want to bring up my lunch  I'm off to check up on some photographers to get an idea of prices, as Bordy so rightly pointed out Aberdonians are renowned for their short arms and deep pockets, but i thought what maybe it would be nice for them to go for a sitting with the kids. Please keep the suggestions coming. |
