Yes we have it and it is fine. The only problem that we have is that someone thought that it was a good idea to install a system that allows you to heat the living area OR the bedrooms but not both at the same time which is a bit of a pain with the kids  . Ours is ducted heating and cooling and is great in the summer but again there is still the problem with the bedrooms and living areas being seperate systems (we also don't have a timer though so it is an old system).

Isn't that reverse cycle aircon?

I'm sure ducted gas heating is different.

Hi Bridiej
Hope you are having a good time with your visitors
We have ducted gas heating and find it ok
Only problem is you cant set it to come on at a certain time- which is a bit of a pain but it heats the rooms quite quickly. Dont know if you get ones with a timer - we are in a rented house so it was here when we arrived

No it's different to reverse cycle, we're having evaporative aircon in our house (it was on a special offer for $100) and going to have the gas as well for heat. It's not that expensive, $5.5K all up.

Thanks for the info, not sure if they come with timers, must admit not something I'd thought of so will definitely ask about it as would be handy.

Visitors great, we're off down Margaret River tomorrow :)

Honestly??

Its crap

My Mum has it. Its expensive, though more so for her cos shes on bottled gas. Inefficient because as soon as it switches off theres no stored heat. Its dry, it just feels like theres a hairdryer blasting around the room and once its switched off its freezing again in ten minutes. Its also dusty as hell, as an asthma sufferer i find it horrendous.

Yep. I'm a real fan me
