8 week old male kitten, tabby.

He's lovely but refuses to get on with our other cat.

Guess I let my heart rule my head but he really needs another WA home without other pets. :(

Please PM me if you can offer him a loving home....

Didnt know what to do for the best, last night so decided to rehome him but this monring realised how attached I am.

So asked the real estate, they asked the owner who said yes, we could keep him so will see how we go........

Once you've had a kitten for a while it's very difficult to let go.
Good luck with the pet bonding Bridiej.

Bridie, I've read a lot about this problem on the pet forum I go to. People say it's good to introduce them in gradually. Keep the little one in a separate room for a while, that's his territory, feed him there and spend time with him so he feels at ease and loved and unthreatened.

After a few days let him out, supervised for short periods of time gradually increasing the length of time.

It might also help to let him have something that smells of the other cats with him, and vice versa. (You'll smell of him anyway, if you'll pardon my saying so...)

There will be lots of hissing and spats at first but gradually acceptance will come.

It took Cleo a while to accept Colette at first but after a few days, one night there they were together curled up in my lap - and look at them now! (attached)

Best of luck and I hope it works out for you.

Thanks Bix & TC :)

Well, the good news is although they're not quite at the cuddling up stage they are playing together! He is a handful though, just doesnt understand the meaning of "No" or a water spray!!!

Wasnt sure what to do at the weekend, probably not the best time to get a new pet being a bit down and kind of stressed!!!

But wouldnt be without him now. :)

Malc has banned me from going into the pet shop though.....!

Sounds like the ideal time to get a kitten to me they always lighten the mood even though they are a handful. We have got our kitten as the kids had been promised that we would get one as soon as we could. The landlord agreed so we have her and she is spoilt rotten especially by the kids. I am sure that she will lose the use of her legs with the amount that they carry her around  but she loves it.
When they go outside she sits by the door mewing and goes looking for them if they leave her alone for any length of time.
I am sure that they will get on really well in time. Ours takes her mad spells out on us, attacking legs etc and there are times that I think that 2 would have been easier  .
Next on the list of I wants from the kids is a fish tank for Maggie's birthday (got to try to avoid it being dinner for the kitten though).

You're probably right Nicky as I do feel better even though I am sick of having to say "no" in a stern voice, and then getting ignored!!!!!!!! And that's just Malc!

He's still here, although the way he's acting up at the moment I am sorely tempted to throw him over next doors fence for the dogs.... (only kidding!)

I've only been up half and hour and so far he's scratched the top of our pine table, somehow managed to get poo all over my dressing gown and just generally being an arse.

Thing is he doesnt learn, you tell him off for doing something and five mins later he's back doing it again. I swear he's so thick I'm sure you could beat him to within an inch of his life and he'd still do it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He should count his blessings, if it had been up to Malc he would have been out on his ear dont know how many times now, but I love the little fella and wouldnt be without him, even though he drives me nuts on days like today! :)

Oh, and he and Phoebe get on like a house on fire, chasing each other and rolling around on the floor play fighting, although at six months he is almost the same size as her (she's 3 in June) and getting a bit much!

I wouldnt mind but these are like magnetic photo frames with pics of our family in them!

Has he got a death wish or something.....?!

one of my puddies is almost four years old and is still wired to the moon. He opens doors and cupboards, looks behind pictures on the wall for spiders, runs up the curtains and zooms up the bannister on the stairs so he can jump into the uplighter which duly collapses under his weight. He loved to lie on top of the 6 ft fridge freezer so that he could scud anyone walking past, least he kept the claws in. Also wrestles with the dog.
