I know that there's a site dedicated to Aussie immigration timelines (Austimeline), but it'd be good to see some of our members' ones here. MrPR and I haven't started the process yet (we're still in the gather up evidence stage), so I can't post one :depressed: , however I know that loads of you have either completed yours or are in the process. Anybody? |

Timelines vary a lot - depending on how DIMIA feel .... Anyway, here is our timeline: 26/01/05 Sent skills assessment 15/02/05 ICAA charge credit card 11/03/05 Rec'd pos. skills assessm. 07/04/05 Visa app lodged at ASPC (DIMIA) 11/04/05 DIMIA charge credit card; email reference number 20/06/05 Applied for PCCs (unrequested) 06/07/05 PCCs rec'd; sent to agent 11/7; arrived with DIMIA ASPC 23/7 05/07/05 & 11/7/05 Meds done unrequested 14/07/05 Meds sent; arrived DIMIA Sydney 18/7/05 19/07/05 PCCs and 1022 request by CO 20/07/05 1022 sent 12/08/05 CO wants name change info; sent 15/8/05 23/09/05 Got the visa! 28/09/05 Passports sent to the AHC in London 08/10/05 Passports back from AHC with visa labels on front page!!! My timeline goes a little like this... March 5 2004 – sent first instalment to Agent. March 10 2004 – TRA app forms and instruction arrive from Agent June 10 2004 – Sent off TRA application June 15 2004 – TRA application lodged October 21 2004 – TRA approval February 2 2005 – VISA application lodged with DIMIA February 17 2005 – Credit Card debited by DIMIA and agent second instalment May 10 2005 – Police check and Medical requested by DIMIA July 4 2005 – Xray and blood tests for Medical July 14 2005 – Medicals undertaken and sent to DIMIA July 20 2005 – Police CC sent to DIMIA September 8 2005 – DIMIA request $100K Capital Investment House is on the market need to sell to raise the cash for the cap invest then visas should follow after about 6 weeks. |

Here's my timeline: Skilled Independent 136 Visa Timeline :) 07/06/05 - Nursing Transcripts requested for ANMC 08/06/05 - Transcripts sent to ANMC! 09/06/05 - Sent request for verification of reg to NMC 10/06/05 - Transcripts sent to WA & QLD 21/06/05 - Verified in ANMC and 4 states of Australia! 16/08/05 - Posted App off to WA Nurses Board 07/09/05 - WA Registered! 01/10/05 - Police check applications sent 03/10/05 - ANMC Skills assessment posted 15/10/05 - Credit card charged by ANMC for skills assessment :excited: |

I can't remember our exact timeline but from the time our application was sent to the DIMIA it took 13 weeks and 6 days for our visa to be approved. We applied for the Skilled independent 136 visa and were on the MODL. We started the whole process in March (when we first appointed our agent) so in total it took 9 months. In the last weeks before approval, I checked that damn austimeline site nearly every day, for any glimmer of hope that things were progressing faster than I hoped and then it happened. If it can for us, it can for anyone, although I would say that the key is to have every shred of paper you can possibly think of certified and sent along with your application to support it. We also frontloaded our medicals and pcc's. Good luck everyone. |

Sept 05 applied for 1st TRA Oct 05 failed TRA :angry: Dec 05 applied 2nd TRA Jan 06 passed 2nd TRA :D Feb 13th Visa application Ack 136 MODL PC's sent 20th Feb 06 Meds Frontloaded 11th April wait for it wait for it 4th MAY 06 VISA GRANTED 2MONTHS 22 DAYS OR 11 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D 8 months in total!!!! from 1st TRA to visa grant |

Here's our timeline - 136 MODL TRA Feb 06 (can't remember exact date but we paid for faster processing & got approval in 10 days) Xrays done 27/2/06 Meds done 14/3/06 - sent to Sydney on 22/3/06 (took 1 month to get appointment) Police check received 9/4/06 (took 20 days) Application sent 4/5/06 Application acknowledged 24/5/06 - informed would be 4-5 months for CO to be assigned Phone call last night to say visa grated - 5 weeks !!!!!!!!!!?????? (have until 27/2/07 to validate) |

Our timeline is... Lodged TRA through George Lombard in May 2005. Approved nine weeks later. Lodged visa application through George Lombard in August 2005. Medicals, etc. requested on 17 March 2006. Visa granted on 26 May 2006. Yippee!!!!!!! Now flights booked for 15 September!!! :cool: |

Hi there as said before timelines are all different just depends on what profession your in and what visa you are applying for? Ours was a PR (permanent Resisdent) visa, hubby was on the MODL list as a carpenter. Got agent round Oct 04 gave us all the info, said we had enough points so after xmas Feb 05 we started the TRA process. They wanted BLOOD, Sent TRA application 30th July 2005 Approved 30th sept 2005 sent PR application Dec 2005 (main application) April 2006 received instructions from case officer for meds and police checks and they also wanted new passports for all 6 of us plus"defacto relationship" information. they wanted this by end june, but we asked for more time. all info sent 1st Agust 2006 received visas 19th August 2006 HOORAY! AT LAST :more: GOOD LUCK SOUS |

you will get there I'm sure. I never thought we would and although it didn't end the way we planned we did get our visa in the end. I'm glad we did even if the outcome was shite. Fingers crossed for you xxxx |
